Late Summer/Early Fall

I'm just going to give a quick update on our lives. Harvest is moving along quickly for JR this year. They got in the fields early and now and I'm pretty sure they have about 200 acres of corn and 300 acres of soybeans to harvest. I'm not always the best listener due to my hectic schedule, but I do try to stay up on the progress. We both miss daddy a lot this time of year.

Clayton is doing great! He has got way too big of a personality for a 2 year old. He walks into a room and he owns it! Hellos and high fives to everyone! He really loves the ladies, but he is also a man's man. One day he was late for daycare, and I found out all the "big kids" were asking when he was going to get there. My daycare lady asked them why and they said "because Clayton is cool!" So, when he rolls up in daycare, all the kids are like, "Yay! Clayton's here!"

Another couple of funny antics...the boy loves chicken. He calls any kind of chicken "fried chicken." One day, I brought chicken nuggest home after we were at the gym. Clayton said a prayer, "God is great, God is good, and I thank him for my FRIED CHICKEN!" What can I say, food is an important part of his life!

Another funny thing happened yesterday. I took him out in the jogging stroller for a little run. On the way, horns were honking and people were yelling "HI CLAYTON" out their windows. My oh my, do I ever have my hands full!

He is such a sweet and polite young man. Always, "please mommy, thank you mommy," etc. Knock on wood, he is still potty trained. His favorite shows are still Dora the Explorer and Three's Company. He always says "Jack funny!" when he watches Three's Company and laughs hysterically:). He hates bedtime though, and also getting up for work in the morning. Yes, this is payback, I'm sure!

I'm doing pretty well. Work is still work. Boo at the Zoo is coming up for SIX NIGHTS this year. So, that is a pretty rough time on the whole family. I am looking forward to it being over. I am having a lot of fun with my Stella and Dot business. I have a trunk show for one of my good friends next Sunday. I'm also planning a large style show on Nov. 13! I'm going to have donations accepted for the Tri State Food Bank. I hope it is a success because I'm very excited about it!

Enjoy the photos:)

We are so glad we got a season pass this year at Holiday World! Clayton had such a great time each time we went. It is only about a 45 minute drive, so it made for a great destination:).
